Anyone that knows me knows that I am a big Miami Dolphins fan. I came across Dan Marino's Hall of Fame acceptance speech today from an email I had received (daddyconection.com). While the transcript is quite long, both his son and he eloquently speak of how important family really is.
Heather's appointment went well yesterday. Jonathon's heartbeat was strong and Heather's blood pressure was unchanged. Being the glass is half full type person, I would say that is a good thing since her blood pressure hasn't gone any higher! Unfortunatly, still bedrest.
We took our CPR/First Aid course tonight. We learned CPR for infants and children up to eight years old. It was interesting but we were glad it ended early. As hard as I tried, no humorous stories to tell.

russ and heather, I'm so happy that your doctor visit went good, and the blood pressure is down. i have been praying daily all day long for each of you. russ, jonathon reminds me alot of you at his age right now. you were 6wks. early. i'm so excited about coming to see you guys. i went bowling yesterday, it reminded me so much of when you and i went and we bowled ten games each. i'd bowl a game then you would bowl a game. i tell you what i'm quite abit older and i can't bowl those ten games in a row, but i did do six. of course when i was with you i didn't bowl all of them in a row like i did this week. it's definitely a workout. all of that to say this i'm so glad that we spent that time together, i will always cherish those memories. i can't wait to make some memories with jonathon. love all three of you very much. mom
russ, i was checking to see if there was any new posts, and there wasn't. so i read dan marino's speech. it was very moving. family was and is a very big part of my life. i'm so thankful for God allowing me to be a wife and mother. i think it is the highest calling of God. i love dad and all of you kids with all my heart. and now all of my extended kids and grandchildren. God never runs out of love to give for our families. just like he never runs out of love for us. i'm so excited for you and heather to be able to experience being parents i think of the time when i babysat little ones, and how you held them on your lap. i knew when you would become a father you'd be a good one. i pray that God would heap huge blessings on your family. I MISS YOU VERY MUCH, every time i dust the piano i think of the beautiful music that came from it when you played. how you put your whole soul into it. i'm glad God gave you such a wonderful gift. He also gave you a gift to make people laugh. it use to make me so mad because you would do it when we were all suppose to be serious. but now it makes me laugh to remember how much energy you'd put into it just to get someone to laugh. i'm proud of you russ, and the man you became. love+prayers, mom
